A room at Networx3 headquarters has been converted into a state-of-the-art simulation suite where pilots can take to the ‘virtual’ skies in safety.

Networx3 have invested £10,000 in a super computer, DJI flight software and 4K 50-inch monitor to create a second-to-none training experience for their pilots.

Networx3 founder and managing director Ian Ashworth said: “You sit in front of the simulator and you can take off, land, introduce wind and rain, and different light levels to create the most challenging flying conditions. It’s as close to the real thing as you can get.

“Our pilots are clocking up lots of flying hours, in a safe learning environment, so that when they pilot a real drone they have the benefit of all the lessons they’ve learned in the classroom.”
