Networx3 UAV has unveiled its latest bit of hi-tech drone kit – a state-of-the-art thermal imaging camera.
The FLIR Vue TZ20 is the industry-standard thermal imaging camera for the emergency services and search and rescue worldwide.
Networx3 UAV will be deploying it for clients using the DJI Matrice 210 for a wide variety of work including drone surveys and inspections and drone powerline inspections.
Managing director Ian Ashworth said: “This allows us to do, and see, so much more with our drones. This new camera picks up anything that gives off a heat signature so that could be bats in trees, lost heat from buildings, smouldering fires in scrapyards or recycling centres or overheated power cables.”
The FLIR Vue TZ20 offers 20-times digital thermal zoom capability to complete public safety and industrial inspection missions both near and far.
As well as operating well in poor weather it offers thermal video streaming, video recording, and still-image capture.
The £7,125 FLIR Vue TZ20 is part of a £100,000-plus investment in Networx3 UAV over the last 18 months.
As part of a major expansion Networx3 UAV now has five qualified commercial drone pilots and a £45,000 drone control vehicle which is home to its hi-tech drones, mapping software and a two-person operations hub.
